Maxxis Rekon Race Tyres Skin Wall | 29 Inch X 2.35

This fast semi slick tire is the latest XC tire from MAXXIS, which won a World Cup. The RekonRace achieved this as a prototype almost a year before the start of series production with Nino Schurter in Mont Saint-Anne. With a similar profile to the Allround XC tire Rekon, but with smaller and lower studs, the tire rolls even faster. This provides less resistance to the surface and rolls more easily. The more pronounced L-shaped side studs bite into the terrain and thus give the best grip in loose curves and in sloping terrain. The Rekon Race performs best on the rear wheel together with a more profiled tire such as the Rekon or Ikon on the front wheel. Or front and rear for short track races and light fast racing courses.
