Shimano 10 speed Chain CN 4601

The Shimano Tiagra 10-speed chain CN-4601 has optimised inner and outer plates which provide a larger contact area to the teeth and a more efficient power transmission for better shifting even under load (HG technology). The outer plates prevent chain-suck from jamming the chain on the chainrings, while the inner plates guarantee smooth shifting on the rear derailleur. The CN-4601 chain has a directional connection, which must be observed during installation.

Technology:

HG
The inner outer plate of the HG chains, designed for better contact with gear teeth, allows smooth shifting even under high load conditions. In addition, the chain has achieved a higher pedalling efficiency. They are perfectly matched to HG sprockets to ensure quick shifting.

Directional
This chain has an asymmetrical design. The specially formed plates optimise the engagement on the sprocket and result in even smoother shifts, even under load. The inner side is optimised for rear HG (Hyperglide) shifting and ensures fast and smooth shifting. The outer side is optimised for chain ring switches. The sides are marked to ensure a correct mounting. The marked side is the outer side.
Warning notice: The high shifting performance can only be reached if the chain is mounted correctly. Should the chain be installed the wrong way, the chain could derail and lead to serious injury.
